Sensory Design is an AI-driven Innovation Lab blending creativity, technology, and human emotion.
We design and launch next-generation AI products, from multisensory experiences (Feelkits) to Alteryon , our platform for lifelike AI Avatars and digital ambassadors.
Following the launch of Alteryon and the expansion of our commercial activities in Europe, we are strengthening our go-to-market team and opening Business Development Representative Italy (BDR) positions to support the Head of Growth in scaling Sensory Design's commercial traction in the Italian market.
This is a hands-on role for ambitious, execution-focused profiles who want to grow inside an AI-native environment and directly impact revenue.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative , you will work side-by-side with the Head of Growth, supporting outbound sales, lead qualification, partnerships scouting, and early-stage client relationships in the Italian market,
Your mission is simple: create qualified opportunities and feed a high-quality pipeline for Sensory Design and Alteryon.
This role is ideal for people who:
- Want exposure to AI, innovation, and international markets
- Are comfortable with targets, metrics, and performance-based compensation
- Prefer action over theory
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and outbound initiatives
- Execute outbound activities (cold email, cold calls, LinkedIn outreach) toward target accounts
- Support the Head of Growth in identifying new markets, verticals, and partnership opportunities
- Participate in selected events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities relevant to AI, innovation, and digital products
- Conduct structured research on prospects, competitors, and market signals
- Build and nurture early-stage relationships with potential clients and partners
- Collect and document insights from prospects to improve positioning and offers
- Maintain accurate records in CRM (HubSpot) and support pipeline reporting
- Contribute directly to sales goals and revenue generation
- Previous experience in business development, sales, or similar commercial roles
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence in speaking with decision-makers (B2B environment)
- Ability to work with CRM tools (HubSpot or equivalent)
- Structured mindset: follow-up discipline, pipeline hygiene, documentation
- Interest in AI, digital products, or innovation-driven environments
- Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory
- German is a plus
An existing client portfolio is a plus, but execution ability beats the number of contacts.
- 100% performance-based collaboration (success fee only)
- Percentage on every closed deal , calculated on gross margin
- One‑time fixed fee for each BANT‑qualified lead
