Business Development – Officer


In the frame of our growth, ADEPA is looking for a Business Developer Officer to support the commercial development of Adepa’s services in the Italian market, covering both local and cross-border opportunities. The role offers balanced exposure to pre-sales activities, direct sales support, and commercial back-office processes, within a dynamic and international environment.


The ideal candidate is a motivated professional keen to grow in business development within financial services, bringing client-facing experience, solid market knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills. They excel in fast-paced international settings and are committed to delivering high-quality service to demanding clients.


The role offers direct exposure to Italian and international financial markets, hands-on involvement in cross-border fund projects, and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic, entrepreneurial international group.


As Business Development Officer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Sales & Market Intelligence
  • Support the identification and qualification of new business opportunities in Italy
  • Contribute to the preparation of client presentations, proposals, and RFP responses
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory developments impacting financial services

  • Sales Support
  • Assist senior business developers in managing the sales pipeline
  • Participate in client meetings and follow-ups
  • Help coordinate internal stakeholders to structure tailored service solutions

  • Commercial Back Office
  • Support the preparation and review of commercial documentation and agreements
  • Maintain CRM systems and ensure accurate tracking of opportunities and activities
  • Coordinate onboarding processes in collaboration with operational teams

Qualifications and experience

  • Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in sales and/or client relationship management within a financial institution, ideally in the fund services sector in Italy or Luxembourg
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and the European fund industry, including key players, stakeholders, and core processes
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with Pipedrive or other CRM tools is a plus
  • Native Italian speaker with fluent written and spoken English; Spanish is an advantage
