Business Development Manager | Italy (Remote) | Battery Energy Storage (BESS)

I'm partnering with a rapidly expanding international renewable energy business that's looking to hire a Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Italian market.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that's making a real impact in the energy transition, delivering cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and innovative energy solutions across commercial, industrial, and utility-scale markets.
Backed by leading global investors and supported by a team with extensive experience in renewables and energy storage, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking for a commercially driven individual to help accelerate its expansion in Italy.

What You'll Be Doing:
Identifying and developing new BESS and renewable energy opportunities across Italy Building strategic relationships with developers, utilities, EPCs, investors, landowners, and key industry stakeholders Sourcing, assessing, and progressing project opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions Leading commercial negotiations and structuring agreements with customers and partners Supporting market analysis, investment cases, and business growth strategies Collaborating closely with technical, engineering, and project delivery teams throughout development phases Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
What We're Looking For:
Proven business development experience within renewable energy, with BESS experience highly desirable Strong knowledge of the Italian energy market and regulatory landscape An established network across the renewable energy ecosystem (developers, utilities, investors, EPCs, etc.) Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and negotiation skills A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously Fluent Italian and strong English communication skills
