About the role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager based in Verona. This is a rare opportunity to become a founding and important member of a growing, well‑funded company. You'll collaborate with Italy's most premium and regarded restaurants.
As a member of the regional sales team, you will report to the Sales Lead and your role will focus on developing new relationships with restaurants and stores.
What you'll be doing
- Map, prospect, pitch and close new restaurants across your region in an organised fashion, becoming an area‑level expert on up‑and‑coming restaurants and customer preferences.
- Support partners in joining Deliveroo, providing the best experience to them.
- Communicate with restaurants via physical visits, email, calls or social media to demonstrate Deliveroo technology.
- Help restaurant owners/managers overcome any barriers or hesitations.
- Attend restaurant and food meet‑ups.
Requirements
- Comfortable with targeting new business and have sales experience.
- Confidence and experience dealing with partners/customers, face‑to‑face, phone or email.
- Experience in demonstrating product and industry knowledge to clients.
- Comfortable with negotiations.
- Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus.
- Tenacious attitude.
