About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading international specialist in industrial components, is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across Italy. This is a high-impact role for a commercial leader who thrives on building relationships, opening new markets, and delivering sustainable profitability across multiple territories.


What You'll Do


Drive Growth & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies to increase revenue and market share
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across Italian and European markets
  • Build and convert a robust pipeline of high-value prospects

Own Customer Relationships

  • Cultivate long-term partnerships with key accounts and decision-makers
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to uncover growth opportunities
  • Act as a trusted advisor, delivering tailored solutions that drive customer success

Deliver Commercial Excellence

  • Lead contract negotiations and manage pricing strategies to optimise margins
  • Cross-sell product portfolio and communicate the value proposition effectively
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless delivery

Provide Market Intelligence

  • Analyse competitor activity and market trends to inform strategy
  • Feed customer insights into product development and innovation initiatives


What You Bring

Essential:

  • 5+ years in business development or sales within fasteners, manufacturing, or engineering sectors
  • Sales experience selling into the Medical or SMART Infrastructure markets
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets and closing complex B2B deals
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse data and develop market-specific approaches
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (D365 experience advantageous)
  • Full clean driving license and willingness to travel extensively across Europe
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Highly Desirable:

  • Additional European language(s)
  • Cross-border commercial experience and cultural adaptability
  • Technical understanding of fasteners or industrial components
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering
