Job Title:
Business Development Manager - EV Charging (AC Charging - Domestic/Home Solutions)

Location:
Italy - (Milan/Turin) - Regular visits to either London or Barcelona.

Languages Required:
Bilingual in Italian & English

Salary:
€40K - €55k - (Up to 50% Uncapped Commission)


Role Overview:
Our client, a rapidly growing company in the electric vehicle charging and energy sector is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive sales and market expansion for our EV charging solutions across Italy , with a focus on AC charging for domestic/home applications . This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of the EV and smart home revolution , engaging with key stakeholders in wholesale and reseller channels .


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market presence for domestic EV charging solutions in Italy.
  • Identify and build relationships with key wholesalers, resellers, and distribution partners to drive sales growth.
  • Leverage expertise in smart home technologies to position EV chargers as part of an integrated home energy solution, including solar, battery storage, and smart electrical systems .
  • Educate and support channel partners on product benefits, installation processes, and market trends.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align sales strategy with product development and marketing efforts.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth.
  • Drive revenue targets through proactive business development and account management.
  • Advise customers on energy management, tariff structures, and optimisation strategies to help maximise efficiency and cost savings for end users.


Key Experience:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the EV charging, solar, smart home, energy or electrical industry .
  • Understanding of AC charging solutions for domestic/home applications.
  • Experience selling into wholesale, reseller, or distribution channels is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of energy management, tariff structures, and optimisation solutions is a strong advantage.
  • A passion for sustainable energy, EV adoption, and smart home innovations .
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-growing industry.
  • Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
  • Based in Milan or Turin , with the flexibility to travel as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales with a strong track record of achieving goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of the EV charging, solar, and energy sectors.
  • Strong experience with CRM systems and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual fluency in Italian and English is essential.
