Business Development Manager - International Market Expansion

ABOUT THE JOB
We are recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth of a new international business unit, focused on global market research, distribution and logistics assessment, customer channel identification, and export-led market entry into countries where the company is not yet present.
What you'll do
- Establish and grow international B2B partnerships with F&V distributors, foodservice and restaurant chains, wholesalers, and retail/supermarket groups.
- Conduct market research to identify commercial potential, customer demand, channel viability, and competitive landscape.
- Assess local logistical infrastructure and route-to-market feasibility.
- Evaluate captive and addressable markets, define target customers, segments, and assess expansion risks.
- Manage full commercial cycle from prospecting and negotiations to contract closure and partner onboarding.
- Lead export market launches with cross-functional coordination of logistics, documentation, compliance, administration, and shipments.
- Collaborate with internal teams (supply chain, marketing, legal, finance, product) and international branches for seamless execution.
- Represent the company at global trade fairs and industry events to expand networks and promote the product portfolio.
ABOUT YOU
Experience
- 2+ years in business development or international B2B sales with proven success in market expansion and negotiations.
- Experience with export operations, distributor/retail/foodservice channel development in food or CPG sectors is preferred.
Market & Commercial Skills
- Strong understanding of global trade, distribution models, import/export regulations, and international supply chain.
- Ability to translate market insights and risk evaluation into scalable commercial strategy.
Language & Communication
- Fluent English (mandatory); additional languages such as French, German, or Spanish are a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and cross-cultural stakeholder management skills.
Education
- Degree in International Business, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Languages or related fields.
- Certifications in international trade/export or business development are advantageous.
