As
Business Development Manager
you will be part of our EMEA team, reporting directly to the VP EMEA, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our High Voltage (HV) Infrastructure and BoP business. With an initial focus on the Italian market, you'll help identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and support the delivery of solutions that enable the energy transition and grid flexibility.
What you’ll do
Evaluate the Italian HV Infrastructure & BoP market, including customers, competitors, contractors, regulations, and emerging trends
Identify, qualify, and develop profitable HV & BoP opportunities, leveraging synergies with NHOA's BESS pipeline
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of future projects, engaging clients and stakeholders to originate new business opportunities
Lead commercial activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from tender qualification and bid preparation through contract negotiation and handover to execution teams
Act as commercial owner of projects, coordinating with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and other internal functions
Build and strengthen relationships with customers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, developers, and grid infrastructure stakeholders
Gather market intelligence, influence project requirements, and position NHOA competitively in the market
Represent NHOA at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking forums
What we’re looking for
At least 5 years of experience in the EPC, renewable energy, infrastructure, HV or BoP sectors
Strong business development, commercial, and sales track record within the Italian energy market
In-depth understanding of HV infrastructure, BoP solutions, and related products and services
Knowledge of electricity market dynamics, supply chains, pricing mechanisms, and key industry players
Understanding of grid connection requirements, permitting processes, and compliance frameworks
Experience with EPC contracts and commercial negotiations
Engineering degree or equivalent technical background (Electrical Engineering is a plus)
Strong opportunity origination, project development, and analytical skills
Native Italian or full professional proficiency
Advanced English, both written and spoken
Availability to travel as required, mainly within Italy
Nice to have
Previous exposure to utility-scale energy projects, renewables
Established network within the Italian energy, infrastructure, or grid development ecosystem
Experience working in international and multicultural organisations
Location Hybrid remote and Milan Offices. Availability to travel.
