Business Development Manager

JOB SCOPE
The BD Manager is the opportunity owner for assigned markets. The role conducts full due diligence, prepares the end-to-end tender package, manages on-ground intelligence, and drives local stakeholder relationships. BD Managers bridge strategy with execution and are accountable for bid readiness, content accuracy, and compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Opportunity Ownership
- Lead Generation. Actively Scoping, Generating & Following up new business opportunities and informing the BD Director – EMEA about all opportunities.
- Lead the full lifecycle of assigned tenders from initial intelligence gathering to submission.
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, airport ecosystem mapping, and passenger flow analysis.
- Assess commercial viability, including CAPEX estimates, OPEX structures, vendor quotations, and revenue potential.
Tender Preparation
- Draft, coordinate, and refine technical write-ups, operational concepts, service models, staffing plans, and implementation plans.
- Ensure all documents meet the authority’s specifications, including formatting, declarations, compliance checklists, and annexes.
- Align layouts, GAs, and operational designs with HQ Design and Operations.
- Provide timely updates to EMEA BD leadership on risk points and dependencies.
Commercial & Financial Inputs Provide inputs for the financial model, including: labour costs local tax structures supplier quotations utility costs maintenance estimates
- Validate local accuracy of the model and challenge unrealistic assumptions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain active relationships with airport authorities, regulators, JV partners, and third-party service providers.
- Support negotiation phases by providing local data and scenario insights. Post-Award Support
- Assist in mobilisation planning, regulatory submissions, and early operational coordination. xpavfwm
- Track early-stage performance against the business plan.
