Business Development Manager - Air and Sea Freight

Role: The resource will be responsible for developing new commercial opportunities in the international sea and air freight sector , contributing to the growth of the client portfolio and the consolidation of the company’s presence in the national and international market.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage new B2B commercial relationships with import/export clients.
- Promote sea and air freight services, in synergy with the operational and pricing teams.
- Analyze clients’ logistical needs and propose customized solutions.
- Monitor the market, competition, and trends in international traffic flows.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, negotiation, and contract closing.
- Ensure the achievement of agreed revenue and margin targets.
- Collaborate with branches and overseas partners to develop new routes and business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in freight forwarding or international shipping companies.
- In-depth knowledge of major sea and air routes and international transport dynamics.
- Ability to read and negotiate rates with airlines, shipowners, and overseas agents.
- Strong aptitude for business development and building long-term relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills .
- Fluent English (mandatory) ; additional language is a plus.
- Proficiency in IT tools and commercial CRM systems .
Education
- High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree
