Business Development Manager (Junior/Senior) – Energy Storage Solutions (ESS)
Clou, backed by Midea, is looking for a high‑performing Business Development Manager to drive its energy storage solutions business in the European market.
Responsibility
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the energy storage sector.
- Conduct research on potential clients, foster relationships with key players, and pinpoint emerging market segments.
- Cultivate a network of project developers, IPPs, utilities, EPCs, investors and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication to earn trust and establish credibility with decision‑makers.
- Drive sales expansion in key markets and geographies, especially among utilities, commercial and industrial sectors.
- Deeply understand customer requirements and craft tailored solutions.
- Oversee all facets of customer management, from acquisition to relationship nurturing and contract discussions.
- Create and uphold project specifications, guaranteeing punctual and precise project submissions that align with customer and business needs.
- Record and manage business prospects, contracts and developmental endeavors within the company CRM system.
- Formulate strategic regional plans to hit sales targets and strategic goals.
- Keep all stakeholders informed on sales efforts, performance metrics, market shifts, project progress and customer relationships.
- Use superior communication techniques to relay complex data in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum three years of technical sales/business development experience within energy storage, EPC and/or renewable sectors.
- Experience with battery energy storage systems, including integrated battery systems, inverters/converters, power supplies and general power for utility and EPC clients.
- Comprehensive familiarity with the European market landscape for photovoltaics, wind energy, grid‑scale energy storage and commercial & industrial energy storage sectors.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams in multiple regions and across hierarchical levels.
- Strong market acumen, problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate with multicultural teams.
- Results‑driven, client‑centered, detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and committed to high professional standards.
- Ability to travel 50% domestically and occasionally internationally.
- Fluent in German/Italian and English.
