Business Controller

Your Role

Are you analytical, able to think outside the box, and comfortable working cross-functionally while engaging with different stakeholders? If so, you might be the right fit to join our Finance Team as a Business Controller – Air & Ocean .

In this role, you will support the Air & Ocean business by monitoring financial performance and strengthening controlling processes. You will focus on key operational and financial drivers, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting business growth.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze financial performance of the Air & Ocean business, identifying trends, variances, and improvement opportunities;
• Support management in strategic decision-making through ad hoc analyses on profitability, pricing, and customer performance;
• Contribute to monthly closing, forecasting, and annual budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with Group policies;
• Prepare periodic reports and performance dashboards for the business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
• Monitor and analyze key operational and financial KPIs
• Support reconciliation activities between general accounting and management accounting, with a focus on freight revenues and costs;
• Liaise with operational teams and Finance stakeholders (local and regional\global) to ensure data accuracy and consistency;
• Contribute to the development and improvement of reporting tools and controlling processes, including automation and digitalization initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For

• Degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields;
• Experience in Controlling or Business Controlling roles, preferably within multinational companies in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation (Air & Ocean) ;
• Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis);
• Solid understanding of Controlling principles and familiarity with freight forwarding KPIs (margins, volumes, profitability per shipment);
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken;
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex data;
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with business stakeholders;
• Ability to synthesize and effectively present insights.
