Financial Controller – Italy
Location: Milan, Italy
Reports to: CFO
Overview
On behalf of our client, a fast-growing private equity–backed business , we are seeking a high-calibre Financial Controller to lead financial operations in Italy. The role suits a technically strong professional with a Big 4 background and proven experience in a PE or high-growth environment .
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting, reporting, and cash management.
- Lead month-end and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and compliance (IFRS / Italian GAAP).
- Prepare management reports, forecasts, and performance analysis.
- Maintain robust internal controls and support audit processes.
- Partner with management and investors on financial strategy and performance.
- Drive process improvement and support M&A and integration activity.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, etc.) preferred.
- Background in Big 4 audit or advisory .
- Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth company .
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills.
- Fluent in Italian and English .
- Hands-on, analytical, and commercially minded.
