On behalf of our client, a fast growing company in the Swiss hospitality sector, we are seeking a Business Analyst – Financial Planning & Control.
The selected candidate will undergo an initial 3-month training program with arKap, designed to build expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting within the hospitality context. After successful completion, the candidate will transition to Switzerland to join our client’s finance team, contributing directly to financial performance management and operational support across hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial plans.
- Perform variance analyses (actual vs. forecast/budget) and highlight key business drivers.
- Develop financial models to evaluate investments, new projects, and operational initiatives.
- Partner with operational teams (F&B, Rooms Division, Housekeeping, etc.) to enhance cost efficiency and revenue optimization.
- Contribute to month-end and quarter-end closing activities.
- Prepare and deliver management dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports tailored to hospitality operations.
- Participate in process improvement projects in financial planning and control.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial governance.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
- 1 year of experience in financial planning, controlling, or business analysis, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or service industries.
- Strong command of Excel and financial modeling; knowledge of ERP/BI tools (SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, etc.) is advantageous.
- Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German and/or French is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Flexibility and willingness to relocate to Switzerland after the training period.
