As we continue expanding our presence and strengthening our customer partnerships, we are seeking a Branch Manager who embodies a proactive, strategic, and people-focused leadership style. This role will be instrumental in achieving our 2030 Mid-Term Plan , elevating branch performance, and driving sustainable long-term growth.
Role Purpose
The Branch Manager leads the Italian branch's commercial, operational, and people activities to ensure strong business performance aligned with SATO’s strategic objectives.
This role combines leadership, sales excellence, financial acumen, and operational discipline—enabling the branch to grow, innovate, and deliver exceptional value to customers and partners across Italy.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Leadership
- Lead the Italian branch (SEGI) to achieve annual performance targets in alignment with the 2030 Mid-Term Plan .
- Develop and execute branch-level business strategies that expand market reach and accelerate sustainable growth.
- Identify new business opportunities within the region, working closely with the sales team and cross-functional stakeholders.
Sales Management
- Oversee and drive a high-performance sales culture focused on customer satisfaction, solution-selling, and long-term relationships.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, market insights, and partnerships.
- Support key account activities, negotiations, and customer engagement to maximize retention and upselling.
People Leadership
- Manage, coach, and develop talented team of 10 persons, fostering an environment of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement individual development plans.
- Promote a culture that reflects SATO’s values of innovation, integrity, and customer-centricity.
Financial & Operational Management
- Own the branch budget: create, monitor, and analyze forecasts, expenses, and performance metrics.
- Ensure the branch operates efficiently, with optimized resource allocation and process improvements.
- Provide senior management with periodic financial and operational reports.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with marketing, regional headquarter, and technical teams to support regional initiatives and joint go-to-market activities.
- Represent SATO at industry events, customer meetings, and trade shows.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and safety requirements.
- Promote SATO’s visibility and brand reputation in the region.
Requirements
Degree
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA is an advantage.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership presence with proven people-management experience.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven, solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- High level of initiative, adaptability, and ownership.
Hard Skills
- Proven experience managing a sales-driven branch, division, or regional team.
- Demonstrated ability to create and analyze budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Experience in sales of solutions; Auto-ID or hardware industry knowledge is a strong plus.
- Ability to build customer relationships and lead commercial negotiations.
Additional Requirements
- Business fluency in Italian and English; other languages are an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Affinity with Auto-ID, industrial solutions, or technology sectors.
