Hitachi Energy · Turbigo, Lombardia, Italia · · 50€ - 70€

Descrizione dell'offerta

The internship aims to develop new functionalities for the tool used by Hitachi Energy to configure Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and perform techno‑economic analysis for several grid codes of different regions.

How You’ll Make An Impact

The selected candidate will work on the Power Store Selector tool developed by Hitachi Energy, analyze the code written in MATLAB and improve it to make the user interface more user friendly and add new functionalities.

Requirements

This tool is used by the Sales team, so it has to take into account all the main project requirements and product features. Some of the additional functionalities to be implemented are:

  • BESS design with mixed configurations
  • PCS power derating due to temperature and altitude
  • Grid code compliance

The candidate will first become familiar with the tool and the code, running multiple simulations for different scenarios. Then they will modify the code and finally test it with the same scenarios to verify the improvements. During the internship, they will also perform BESS market analysis to gather costs and product features used as input for the PSS tool and use the Hitachi Energy Power Converter sizing tool to check the capability of Hitachi Energy products for different grid codes.

Your background

  • Completed or ongoing Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Energy Engineering
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Interest in the BESS sector
  • Proactivity, willingness to learn and ability to work in a fast‑paced team
