Main activities

Reporting to the Management of the well established and globally known Division for engineering services and solution for power units, the role is asked to play a pivotal and central role on the business development stage of the new Hydrogen business.

The Business Developer aims at generating business (from RFQs to single special projects), scouting different markets, Automotive (OEM, TIER1, TIER2) and non-Automotive (Public Transportation companies, Fleet Management players,...) and fostering the already strong presence of the company in the relevant industry.

The Hydrogen B.U., early birth but already addressed with strong technical competencies and relevant pilot-projects, wants to insert in the market by the means of a "partnership" approach with different players, by the means of a strong technical standing and proposing engineering service for single or turnkey solutions (original equipment, retrofit - repowering projects,...).

The position will primarily, but not exclusively, focus on the EMEA market.

Responsibilities

  • Generate business from RFQs to single special projects and scout markets in Automotive (OEM, TIER1, TIER2) and non-Automotive sectors (Public Transportation, Fleet Management, etc.)
  • Develop a partnership approach with different players and propose engineering services for single or turnkey solutions (original equipment, retrofit/repowering projects)
  • Contribute to the Hydrogen Business Unit with technical competencies and pilot projects aimed at market introduction
  • Collaborate with senior management to plan strategy, draft action plans, and drive results
  • Engage with a variety of clients, from large Automotive players to niche green tech industries, Public Administration, and Utilities

Qualifications

  • Must have
  • Technical background (education and/or professional experience) in Automotive, Power Generation, or Green Technology industries
  • Sales orientation with ability to plan strategy, draft action plans, and follow through to results
  • Flexible approach to relate to different client types (big Automotive players, niche green tech, Public Administration, Utilities)
  • Economic awareness to anticipate and evaluate ROI short and long term
  • Fluent in English
  • Nice to have
  • Background or technical competence in hydrogen business
  • Knowledge of tendering procedures for Public Companies, Utilities (energy, power generation), big OEMs
