What Do We Look For?
- High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in barista training is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a barista, preferably in a high-end café or restaurant.
- Expertise in preparing tea and coffee beverages
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, tea varieties, brewing methods, and equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Basic understanding of inventory and stock management
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Fluency in English and Italian
What Will You Work On?
Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, specialty teas, and custom drinks
- Master brewing techniques to ensure consistency and quality in all drinks
- Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain brand standards
Equipment Maintenance
- Operate and maintain coffee and tea equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure equipment functions properly
- Notify management of any equipment issues or repair needs
Inventory and Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee, tea, and other supplies, ensuring sufficient stock at all times
- Assist in placing orders for inventory as needed
- Minimize waste through efficient preparation and inventory control practices
Workplace Cleanliness and Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the coffee and tea station at all times
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including hygiene protocols and food handling regulations
- Follow workplace safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Continuous Learning
- Stay updated on the latest tea and coffee trends, techniques, and recipes
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge
- Provide input to enhance the tea and coffee menu with creative ideas
