YOUR ROLE
The focus of the role will be working in a business strategic team to partner with our clients to innovate and transform their business. As a Senior Manager within the financial sector, you will be directly involved with clients of the Banking Industry, working mostly in the payments ecosystem.
You are likely to be involved in a range of activities from designing the innovation and change vision of a Financial Institution to the creation of the business case to sustain the transformation roadmap to achieve that vision.
Leveraging a strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, you will be:
- Supporting clients in defining payment transformation strategies
- Advising financial institutions on how to innovate within the payments value chain
- Designing target payment operating models and technology architectures,
- Analysing payment data and transaction flows
- Assessing and selecting payment technology solutions
- Monitoring emerging trends in the payments landscape
- Ensuring payment solutions comply with evolving regulatory and security requirements
More broadly you could be:
- Using your proven strategy experience to help clients define their IT strategy, understanding needs and solutions, defining the transformation roadmap, leveraging your Financial Services industry knowledge, technology expertise on both main-stream and emerging topics.
- Advising clients on digital and strategies and transformation paths, connecting business ambitions with required organizational and technology changes, including move to cloud transformation or operating model evolution.
- Defining compelling customer value propositions and winning technology models to maximize business value and ROI, thanks to the creation of a proper business case to highlight benefits and financial impacts.
- Creating and documenting solution blueprints, roadmaps, capability models, or operating models.
- Building, managing, and prioritizing solution requirements and collaborating closely with design and development experts to find solutions.
- Working closely with SMEs to ensure solution feasibility, viability, and compliance.
- Communicating with both business and IT teams at all levels influencing transformation decisions through compelling storytelling, underpinned by thorough analysis of facts and figures.
- Creating strong relationships among working teams, mentoring junior people and have exposure to senior leadership.
YOUR PROFILE
You will have a mixture of the following experience:
- Deep expertise in Technology and Payments Strategy , gained through consulting or senior roles within the Financial Services industry.
- Extensive experience redesigning and modernising business and technology models, with a strong focus on real-time payments, cloud-native architectures, open banking, and AI‑enabled payment services.
- Solid knowledge of Cloud and Artificial Intelligence , and how these technologies create value in the payments ecosystem (e.g., fraud prevention, risk scoring, customer experience, authorisation optimisation).
- A strong quantitative mindset , able to build robust business cases and financial models to justify strategic transformations.
- Ability to lead complex projects in structured and international context
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills , with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to senior and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced , high-intensity environments, making sound decisions even with incomplete information.
- Experience leading high-performing teams , including direct reports, and fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and collaboration.
- Highly organised and results-oriented approach , ensuring delivery excellence across complex, multi-stakeholder engagements.
- English business knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities , with the ability to engage deeply with technical teams on high-complexity architecture, data, and engineering topics.
