We are looking for a skilled Baker/Pastry Chef de Partie to manage a specific section of the pastry and bakery operations within the kitchens of Borgo Santo Pietro, supporting the Executive Pastry Chef by ensuring high-quality daily production, assisting with recipe execution and innovation, guiding junior staff, and contributing to all pastry and bakery preparations.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Prepare, bake, and present pastries, breads, desserts, and other baked goods to the highest standard of quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and report ingredient requirements in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef, and kitchen team to ensure seamless workflow and timely production.
  • Contribute creatively to menu development, seasonal specials, and innovative baked products.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Follow recipes, techniques, and plating guidelines accurately, contributing to both creative and seasonal offerings.
  • Take full responsibility for your assigned section, including mise en place, ingredient preparation, and station organisation
  • Comply with all health, safety, and operational procedures within the pastry and bakery areas.
  • Oversee and fulfil guest requests, with particular attention to special dietary requirements and in-room dining.
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Foster clear communication and strong collaboration within the F&B department.


Who you are:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pastry or bakery roles, preferably or high-end culinary environments;
    luxury hospitality willbe considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly within a team.

  • Creative and open-minded, able to contribute new ideas and suggestions for desserts and bakery offerings.
  • Excellent technical skills in pastry, desserts, bread, and bakery preparation.

  • Use clear and professional verbal, written, and non-verbal communication to meet guest needs, while effectively negotiating with both internal teams and external partners.
