Overview
AWS Public Sector Cloud Architect - Databases — The AWS ProServe team seeks a Delivery Consultant - Databases to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet customers' technical requirements and business objectives. You will drive customer success through the cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. You will migrate database environments to AWS, architect complex, scalable, and secure database solutions, and gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose migration strategies.
Eligibility
- This role requires you to be a Swedish National and have business level proficiency in the Swedish language
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS database solutions tailored to customer needs
- Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation
- 3+ years of experience on at least one commercial relational database (Oracle, SQL, Server, IBM, DB2) or open source database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB)
- Knowledge of non-relational databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, Redis)
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English in technical and business settings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex and large-scale implementation experience
- Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
- Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional)
- Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3)
