Automation Tester (Focus Backend) – Strategic Project

Overview

As part of Fabrick’s ongoing growth, we are looking for an Automation Tester to join our team dedicated to a strategic project, which we have recently won and is now kicking off.

As an Automation Tester, you will join our technical team to contribute to the definition and implementation of automated testing strategies for backend and frontend systems. You will be responsible for designing and executing test automation on APIs, microservices, and user interfaces, ensuring software quality throughout the entire product lifecycle. Your contribution will be fundamental to increasing the reliability of our solutions, improving delivery processes, and supporting agile teams in dynamic and innovative contexts.

Responsibilities

• Test Design and Planning : Analyze functional and technical requirements to define comprehensive test strategies. Design, write, and prioritize test scenarios and test cases to ensure thorough functional coverage, especially for API services.
• CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate test execution and provide rapid feedback to the development team.
• Results Analysis and Reporting : Execute tests, analyze results, and report bugs using bugtracking tools like Jira. Ensure clear and timely communication of test reports to development teams and product owners
• Continuous Improvement : Actively contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies, proposing new technologies and best practices to increase overall product efficiency and quality.

What makes you the ideal candidate

• Solid knowledge of automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
• Experience in API Testing (REST, SOAP) with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Proficiency in Test Design: requirements analysis, design, and prioritization of test cases, functional coverage.
• Knowledge and use of continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Proven background in test automation with a specific focus on backend and API testing. Experience in frontend testing is considered a plus.

Nice to have

• QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB)
• Knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) methodologies and related frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin).
• Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) for test management and documentation.
• Proficiency in API performance and security testing (e.g., with tools like JMeter or ZAP).
• Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
