Overview

We are currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist who will be remote-based in Italy or in Germany. Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be in an international environment and provide second level support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting on Automation Platforms . You will drive service targets while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention. You will apply critical thinking to resolve appropriate actions to rapidly repair instrumentation, train our customers and our Service Engineers, also support our Applications Team and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems to support the overall commercial organization.

You will operate independently in Italian/Germany territory and in Europe when needed (overnight travel as needed) to provide excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and standalone laboratory environments. We operate as a team to share standard methodologies, mentor, and receive experienced technical support.

Responsibilities

Provide second level technical support for automation platforms in a remote-based and field environment.

Install and maintain automation instrumentation and systems in hospital and standalone laboratory environments.

Repair instrumentation quickly and effectively; train customers and Service Engineers; support the Applications Team; verify system performance and data quality.

Collaborate with colleagues across regions to ensure consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Essential requirements

  • Biomedical engineer or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of Technical Support, Field Service experience with Diagnostics market.
  • Early careers are welcome but with troubleshooting experience gained during thesis or internships.
  • Proficient English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
  • Ability to travel and provide service in the whole country as well as periodic travel to other European countries and overnight travel. A current valid driver’s license is required.

  • Willing to work different shifts/flexible hours as business needs.
  • Analytical mindset, able to analyze data, identify problems and find effective solutions.
