Experteer Overview
In this role you will drive automation engineering activities for processing plants, from CIP units to large-scale facilities, to improve food quality and safety. You’ll work within a global Automation and Electrical Engineering team, contributing to the automation, commissioning, and servicing of integrated systems. Expect hands‑on PLC/SCADA work, collaboration with project teams, and direct customer engagement to deliver reliable automation solutions. The role includes international travel and a chance to shape how production lines are modernized across multi‑site plants. This opportunity combines technical mastery with a global, innovation‑driven culture at Tetra Pak. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and contribute to automation, commissioning, and servicing of systems Define automation solutions using PLC, SCADA, and Industrial Networks with data exchange Program Siemens PLC and InTouch HMI; support FAT and validation testing Create and review automation architecture documentation, IP lists, diagrams, and manuals Take overall project responsibility for automation and low-voltage electrical design Foster strong customer relations and act as a Tetra Pak ambassador Collaborate with market area and cluster teams (EUROPE) and support health and safety initiatives Qualifications
University degree in Engineering or equivalent (Bachelor or MSC) in relevant fields Fluency in Italian; very good English skills 2–5 years’ experience in PLC/SCADA programming and commissioning for processing plants Proficiency with Siemens (S7, TIA Portal), ABB (Sattline), InTouch, WinCC, Ignition Knowledge of MES, virtualization (VMware), and industrial networks Experience with Ethernet networking and field buses (Profinet, Profibus, ASi, ControlNet, DeviceNet, IO-Link) Strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, and self-motivation Willingness to travel internationally (~50%) Additional Requirements
