Automation Engineer – Food & Beverage Industry | Tuscany Area
PeoItaly is hiring on behalf of an anonymous, global construction equipment manufacturer recognized for innovation, reliability, and engineering excellence. We’re seeking an Automation Engineer to join an innovative industrial automation team, working on process plant projects within the Food & Beverage sector.
Role Summary
As an Automation Engineer , you will play a key role in developing and maintaining automation solutions for process plants in the Food & Beverage industry. You will be involved in all project stages — from software design and testing to on-site installation and troubleshooting — ensuring efficiency, safety, and technological innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation software components (PLC, HMI, Safety Devices);
- Support the design and development of electrical projects;
- Assist the Supply Chain during internal testing and on-site installation;
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with clients when needed;
- Manage modifications and upgrades of existing machines and plants;
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for automated systems.
Requirements
- Technical diploma or degree in Computer Engineering or Industrial Automation ;
- 2–4 years of experience in similar roles;
- Strong knowledge of PLC/HMI/SCADA programming (Siemens, Rockwell, or similar);
- Availability for short business trips (approximately 30% of working time);
- Good command of the English language ;
- Team player attitude, proactive approach, and excellent communication skills.
Location: Tuscany area (Siena and surroundings)
