Team overview
Ashurst's securitisation debt capital markets practice forms part of a wider Global Markets Group. It works closely with Ashurst's derivatives and structured products practices.
The core areas of the team include trade receivables transactions (NPL, UTPs, CQS, Tax Claims, and other asset classes) and securitisations (RMBS / CMBS / auto loans / consumer credit, prime / non-performing). The practice covers true sale and synthetic structures.
Job overview
You will work primarily with your team in Milan and across Europe, specializing in various types of structured finance transactions across different asset classes.
You should be flexible and enthusiastic about working in new product areas. The role offers exposure to multiple clients, sectors, and financing techniques.
The position involves working with sponsors, arrangers, debt investors, corporates, banks, government, and credit enhancement providers.
You will also collaborate closely with other groups within Ashurst, including corporate, restructuring, banking, financial regulatory, and tax teams.
Essential skills and experience
- Qualified Associate with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience at a major law firm.
- Experience advising on structured finance transactions and/or DCM issuances.
- Proven ability to draft complex legal documents.
- Strong organizational skills and transaction management experience.
- Excellent academic record.
- Strong client relationship skills and experience in business development.
- A collegiate team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues at all levels.
