Associate – Private Equity – Milan

A leading Italian private equity firm is seeking a high-calibre Associate to join its investment team in Milan. Focused on mid- and lower-mid market investments across Italy, the firm partners with dynamic businesses and supports their growth through hands-on value creation.

As an Associate, you will play an integral role across the full investment cycle, from deal sourcing and due diligence through to portfolio management and exit.

The Opportunity

As part of a lean and entrepreneurial team, you will gain direct exposure to senior leadership, management teams, and external advisers. The position offers a steep learning curve and a clear path for progression within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the execution of new investments, including market analysis, due diligence, and financial modelling
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal committees
• Conduct industry and company research to identify new investment opportunities
• Assist in transaction structuring and coordination with legal, financial, and commercial advisers
• Support the monitoring of portfolio companies and contribute to strategic value creation initiatives
• Work closely with senior team members and contribute to thematic sourcing projects

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in private equity or investment banking (M&A or sponsors coverage)
• Strong knowledge of the Italian market and interest in mid-market investing
• Native Italian speaker with fluency in English
• Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and presentation skills
• Solid academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
