Associate Legal Counsel

We are looking for a Associate Legal Counsel to provide legal support in corporate and contractual matters by providing timely and accurate legal assistance to internal departments at the corporate headquarters and on a global basis as part of the global legal function. The Associate Counsel ensures operation of Company in alignment with Italian laws and regulations and applicable international laws and regulations, collaborating with external legal service providers when necessary, in order to support Stevanato Group, S.p.A., a multi-national company organized under Italian law that is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: STVN), and its global subsidiaries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial / Corporate Support
- Assist in supporting commercial and operations functions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers, clients, and service providers, identifying legal risks and recommending appropriate mitigation actions.
- Support the implementation of group-level policies and legal procedures within the Italian locations, and on a global level, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide legal guidance on day-to-day matters, supporting internal departments (e.g., Operations, Procurement, Human Resources, Quality, Finance) in reviewing and interpreting laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate in the preparation and review of internal procedures, ensuring legal compliance with group policies (e.g., Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct).
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on complex or high-value matters.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal departments.
- Conduct legal training for staff as appropriate.
Litigation and Dispute Support
- Assist in gathering documentation and preparing preliminary legal analyses for litigation or claims.
- Support the coordination with external counsel for ongoing disputes or litigation, ensuring timely provision of information.
Labor & Employment
- Provide support for Human Resources function, including advice on labor and employment laws and compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Degree in law or equivalent.
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in corporate or industrial legal practice, preferably in an international, manufacturing or life sciences industry context.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Italian corporate and contract law.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with central Legal function.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Proficient in legal document drafting and review.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work on cross-functional basis as part of team.
