About the role
Guy Carpenter is seeking a talented candidate for the Associate I - Reinsurance Actuary position within our Analytics Team in Milan. The role focuses on supporting reinsurance program design, pricing, and risk evaluation for corporate clients.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze client underwriting data to advise on reinsurance programs considering risk tolerance and market trends.
- Design, price, and evaluate reinsurance structures from an actuarial perspective.
- Validate client data for reasonability, load it into predictive models, run the models, and share outcomes with brokers.
- Perform calculations to assess risk exposures and predict client outcomes.
- Explore alternative risk‑financing options.
- Support merger and acquisition transactions by determining the actuarial value of insurance companies.
- Respond to client queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships.

Requirements
- Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Strong understanding of product lines and industry conditions to design effective reinsurance programs.
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to handle significant workflow through efficient time management.
- Well‑versed in office software.
