About the role Satispay is expanding its financial platform to help 6 million users manage their savings and investments. We are seeking a leader to oversee a squad of 3-5 engineers, focusing on team development and the delivery of high-impact consumer features. Key facts
Location: Milan, Italy Engagement: Full-time Compensation: 51,000 - 66,500 EUR gross per annum Team: Consumer Wealth Domain What you'll do
Manage the daily operations and performance of a 3-5 person engineering squad. Support professional growth through consistent 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, and career development planning. Translate business objectives into clear technical roadmaps and manage project execution. Coordinate with product managers, designers, and other engineering managers to align priorities and resolve dependencies. Provide status updates to leadership, explaining technical progress and risks in business terms. Partner with senior and staff engineers to oversee architectural decisions and ensure high-quality software delivery. Requirements
5+ years of experience in backend engineering. 2+ years of experience managing an engineering team within a fast-paced, product-focused environment. Expertise in distributed systems and API design. Proven ability to manage end-to-end delivery of complex features using agile methodologies. Proficiency in English for communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Interest in fintech and the regulatory requirements of financial products. Skills & tools
Backend: Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, ElasticSearch) Practical notes
Hybrid work policy requires three days per week in the office (Tuesday, Thursday, and one flexible day).
