Associate Director Medical Project Management Cell Therapy, Medical Affairs Kite

The Position :

We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Project Manager to join the Kite Medical Affairs Team in Italy. The individual will report to the Medical Affairs Country Medical Lead and will be responsible for developing the medical strategy, the tactical delivery, and project management of Cell Therapy plans in Italy.

Knowledge, Education and Experience Requirements :

Must have a Medical Degree or Higher Post-Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (or international equivalent) and a solid experience in medical affairs project management.

Must have clinical or pharmaceutical experience in Oncology / hematology and/or cell therapy.

Must have a thorough understanding of departmental and company policies, processes.

Must have demonstrated excellence in leading cross-functional teams.

Must have demonstrated excellence in working closely with management to develop effective and creative solutions to complex problems.

Must have demonstrated excellence in mentoring colleagues, improving their skills, and expanding their abilities/knowledge.

Must have demonstrated success in influencing individuals and groups outside immediate control.

Must have demonstrated success in managing highly complex multiple projects simultaneously.

Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, along with the ability to provide clear and concise complex analysis of quantitative and qualitative concepts.

Must be team-oriented and work in several teams that may overlap, such as global medical team, and national and international brand teams.

Must have a proven ability to utilize complex scientific resources for presentations in various settings, with knowledge and experience in delivering high-level presentations to KOLs.

Specific Job Responsibilities :

Works in partnership with the Country Medical Lead and other relevant functions to coordinate and ensure consistency and efficiency in all departmental operations and processes.

Global and local strategic planning (Global Medical Affairs Plan, Medical Affairs Plan of Action).

Supports and coordinates Investigator Sponsored Trials in Italy—including collaboration with investigators and internal Gilead personnel and assisting with site selection for clinical trials.

Works collaboratively with Kite and Gilead personnel in EMEA / Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Marketing, Market Access, Sales, HEOR, Regulatory Affairs, and Drug Safety.

Presents scientific and clinical data for marketed or developmental Kite cell therapy products utilizing scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in various settings.

Represents Kite at medical meetings, conferences, advisory boards, outreach meetings at key institutions, and in interactions with key opinion leaders.

Plans and travels to national and international conferences and internal meetings.

Manages logistical and provides scientific support for Medical Affairs programs, including but not limited to:

Medical Affairs Advisory Programs

Medical Affairs portion of National Meetings

Medical Affairs Annual Conference

Medical Scientists Post-Conference Debrief

Learning and Development training events

and Post-Conference Presentations.

Medical Affairs editorial projects.

Directly manages the annual budget for the medical department.
