Experteer Overview
In this role, you will lead Italy’s country-level public policy and government affairs strategy for the medical technology sector. You’ll act as the senior policy interface, shaping a favorable healthcare environment that supports patient access, innovation, and system resilience. You will engage with policymakers and stakeholders and align national priorities with European frameworks. This is a strategic, executive-facing position in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting with a strong emphasis on collaboration and impact.

- Define and lead the country policy and government affairs strategy aligned with sector priorities
- Monitor legislative and political developments affecting medical technologies and procurement policies
- Translate policy developments into strategic insights for senior leadership
- Provide thought leadership on topics like healthcare reform, value-based care, sustainability, and digital health
- Engage with national and regional policymakers as the primary senior interface
- Build long-term relationships with policy makers and external stakeholders
- Represent the sector in high‑impact policy debates and negotiations
- Lead engagement with trade associations and coalitions
- Align national positions with European frameworks for a coherent MedTech voice
- Serve as strategic advisor to country and regional leadership on public policy matters
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Communications, Legal, and Commercial teams
- Ensure alignment between public policy priorities and broader business and innovation strategies
Responsabilità
- 8+ years of government affairs or relevant experience in Italy
- Deep knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes and political environment in Italy
- Ability to engage government stakeholders and build relationships
- Good understanding of European policy making and Italian trade relationships desirable
- Experience influencing policy matters in MedTech and/or pharmaceutical/healthcare industries
- Proven ability to understand business goals and collaborate with leaders to achieve policy outcomes
- Strong project management and leadership in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment
- Excellent executive presence and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with ability to translate policy into business impact
