Mindray Italy is searching for a Assistant Accountant
to join our team. In this role, you will assist the Accounting & Tax Manager and the Senior Accountant
with production of finance and accounting information.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting

  • Assist Senior accountant with the preparation of financial reporting and monthly reconciliations.(Closing of month end 2.5 days).*
  • Prepare financial statements, ensuring accounts are correctly represented and in line with reporting standards.*
  • Assisting with the audit process and preparing reports (accounting) that comply with local statutory requirements
  • Preparation and posting of journals (manual & using GLSU).
  • Preparation of accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
Taxes & Compliance
  • Preparation of Country specific VAT returns and ensuring compliance with VAT reporting guidelines.
  • Preparation of monthly INTRASTAT declaration
Credit management
  • Monitoring and releasing sales orders in credit block
  • Maintain relevant documentation
  • Contact customers by telephone and/or letter if necessary
  • Issues escalation or final notice letters
  • Resolving customers queries
Employee Expense management
  • Manage expense processing and approvals using SAP Concur
  • Assist employees in understanding of expense policy and respond to queries as required
  • Assist with the control and management of company fuel cards & mobiles
Accounts payable
  • Manage purchase order and invoice processing and approvals using SAP Concur
  • Reconcile vendor statements to SAP to ensure accurate records
  • Review payment proposals
  • Ensure AP ledger is maintained accurately
Other Tasks
  • Assist logistics/customer service with the management and control of inventory and undertake monthly finance stock check.
  • Ad hoc reports for local management and EU/HQ Finance departments
  • Credit control/accounts payable/concur and other tasks where necessary.
  • Undertake monthly revenue recognition checks.
Skills & Experience
  • +2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of Accounting systems and processes
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Knowledge of SAP (desirable)
  • Experienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
