⚡ Then What


We are looking for AS400 Programmer Analyst and you will be responsible for the design, development, administration, and maintenance of software components and system configurations.


Key Responsibilities


  • A dministration of iSeries/IBM i systems, including LPAR management, virtual resources, and HW/SW configurations.
  • Installation, tuning, and troubleshooting of IBM MQ ; backup management and recovery policies via IBM BRMS .
  • Management of jobs, subsystems, and process automation to ensure operational efficiency and high performance.
  • Continuous system tuning, log analysis, and performance monitoring to resolve operational anomalies and provide periodic reporting.
  • Implementation of system security (users, authorizations, auditing) and management of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) processes.
  • Management of PTF (Program Temporary Fix) patches and integration with SAN infrastructures and external systems.


Key Requirements


  • Proven experience in managing production IBM i environments and full-stack development tasks.
  • Preferred experience with TANGO04 (monitoring), MAXAVA (HA/Replication), and GoAnywhere (MFT).
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems; familiarity with OpenShift is a plus.
  • Basic CL (Control Language) programming skills; knowledge of C++ or Java is an advantage.
  • Availability for 24⁄7 on-call duty on a rotational basis and extraordinary activities (e.g., Saturday maintenance).
  • Proficient in Agile development and familiar with Incident, Problem, and Change Management procedures (SLAs/Escalation).
