John Cabot University, a regionally accredited American liberal arts university in Rome, Italy, is seeking an Art and Design Studios Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of its Studio Art facilities.
The Studio Assistant will oversee the physical condition, security, and safety of the studios and offices, coordinate with cleaning, maintenance, and other JCU staff to ensure necessary supplies are available, and maintain facilities and equipment to best support the work of students and instructors. While this is not a teaching position, the ideal candidate should be able to assist students with technical queries related to their studio practice.
This position would suit a recent graduate in Art and Design or an individual with equivalent professional experience in an art-related environment, possessing demonstrable practical skills and strong organizational abilities.
We currently have two positions open: one full-time and one part-time.
The full-time position (38 hours/week) is a one-year term contract with the possibility of renewal. Working hours include afternoons, evenings, and weekends: Tuesdays through Fridays until 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays until 7:00 p.m.
The part-time position (20 hours/week) is a six-month term contract with the possibility of renewal. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Both roles require on-site attendance and offer the possibility of renewal depending on organizational needs.
