Area Sales Manager (Italy and mainly but not limited to South East Europe)

Location:  Remote / Field-based (Home Office in Italy preferred)

Brands:  RIEDEL Group – RIEDEL, SPIEGELAU & NACHTMANN

Reports to:  CEO 

Languages:  First language Italian and fluent in English (mandatory); additional languages an advantage

Employment Type:  Full-time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Area Sales Manager  to drive growth across Italy and South East Europe . The successful candidate will represent the RSN brands in the assigned territory, managing distributors, key accounts, and on- and off-premise customers. This role requires proactive sales leadership, strong presentation skills, and the ability to conduct educational tastings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy in alignment with company objectives.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.
  • Organize and host consumer and trade tastings, ensuring brand presentation and education standards are met.
  • Monitor and manage distributors in your territory.
  • Represent the brand at trade fairs and industry events.
  • Be aware of and report trends and activities etc in the markets.
  • Ensure all activities and initiatives are aligned with corporate philosophy and legal compliance of each country.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 – 10 years of sales experience in the wine, spirits, luxury goods, or premium consumer products industries.
  • Proven track record in distributor and key account management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident public speaker.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills, self-motivated, and independent.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across assigned markets (140+ days per year as per company standard).
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  • First language Italian and fluent in English (mandatory). Additional languages are an advantage.
