The Area Revenue Manager oversees revenue management operations and strategy for designated properties within the Belmond Southern Europe & UK Region. This role is crucial in optimizing revenue and maximizing profitability through effective pricing and yield management strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement revenue management strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy.
- Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and customer segmentation to identify revenue opportunities.
- Conduct daily pick‑up analysis, adjusting pricing and inventory strategies as necessary.
- Monitor and manage distribution channels, ensuring optimal revenue and rate positioning.
- Prepare and present regular revenue performance reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and packages.
- Utilize revenue management systems (PMS, Channel Manager, CRS) effectively to support decision‑making.
- Contribute to the annual revenue budgeting process, providing accurate forecasts and recommendations.
- Lead training initiatives for new team members on revenue management systems and processes.
- Lead revenue meetings to align strategies and goals across departments.
- Knowledge of the London market is a plus.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue management within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of implementing successful revenue management strategies.
- Proficiency in revenue management software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
