Resina Partners is supporting a leading international group specialising in rubber flooring solutions in the search for an Area Manager for their Transport Division (Italy).


The company

A well-established group with a strong positioning in rubber flooring solutions.


The Transport division produces rubber flooring used in trains, metro, and public transport .


This division operates globally and is growing steadily, driven by increasing demand in rail and public transport projects.


The role

A technical-commercial role focused on the Italian rail and public transport market.


Let’s be clear: this is not a hunting role. The focus is on managing existing relationships, navigating complex sales cycles, handling tenders and structured procurement processes.


You will work high-value, structured projects that can last years, not months. And you will be the link between customers and internal technical teams.


The position offers a clear long-term path , with the objective of growing into a senior role within the division.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with key Italian customers (OEMs, rail manufacturers, transport operators)
  • Handle RFQs, tenders, and technical-commercial negotiations
  • Drive projects through long and structured sales cycles
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams on product development and customization
  • Identify opportunities within existing accounts and support business growth
  • Monitor market developments and upcoming projects in the rail sector


What we’re looking for

  • 3–5+ years in a technical-commercial role
  • Experience working with OEMs, rail manufacturers, transport operators (e.g. selling interiors, components for trains / metro, transport systems, automotive parts, etc.)
  • Experience managing tenders, RFQs, and project-based sales
  • Comfortable dealing with technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Fluent Italian and good command of English


This role requires someone who understands how structured OEM environments work: not a pure salesperson, and not a purely technical profile.

Location & travel

  • Northern Italy preferred (core market concentration)
  • Remote role with high autonomy
  • Travel across Italy: ~20–30%
  • Occasional international trips

  • Base salary: €40–55k (based on experience)
