Architectural Technologist

Adecco Consultant Milano is partnering with an international architecture and technical design firm to recruit Technical Architects / Architectural Technologists for its Milan office.

The company works on complex, multidisciplinary projects in Italy and internationally, with a strong focus on highly technical buildings, including data centres, mission critical infrastructures, laboratories, life sciences facilities, manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, industrial buildings and corporate spaces .

This opportunity is designed for professionals with a strong technical mindset, able to translate design concepts into buildable, compliant and well-coordinated architectural solutions .

The focus of the role is not pure concept design, but technical delivery, project documentation, multidisciplinary coordination and execution .

The role

The selected candidate will be involved in the technical development and delivery of architectural projects, supporting the production of technical documentation and coordinating with the different disciplines involved.

The role requires close collaboration with international teams, project managers, external consultants, MEP and structural teams, technical specialists and local stakeholders.

The candidate will contribute to project quality, buildability and compliance with Italian regulations and local planning requirements, working across different project stages, from technical documentation to construction support activities.

Main responsibilities

The candidate will be involved in:

• producing architectural technical drawings, construction details, specifications and schedules;
• developing and managing project documentation using Revit ;
• preparing technical, executive and construction documentation packages;
• working with BIM tools and collaborative platforms such as BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud ;
• supporting model coordination activities, including the use of tools such as Navisworks , clash detection and model review;
• reviewing and improving the buildability of design solutions;
• coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, project managers and technical departments;
• coordinating with MEP, structural consultants and external technical partners ;
• supporting permitting processes and regulatory compliance checks;
• applying Italian building regulations and local planning requirements;
• contributing to large-scale and technically complex projects in sectors such as data centres, mission critical, laboratories, life sciences, manufacturing, logistics and industrial buildings.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has:

• Degree in Architecture, Building Engineering/Architecture or equivalent background;
• previous experience in technical architectural design roles, such as Technical Architect, Architectural Technologist, BIM Architect, Project Architect, Architectural Designer, BIM Coordinator or similar;
• strong proficiency in Revit ;
• experience in producing technical drawings, construction details, specifications, schedules and executive documentation;
• good knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM tools;
• experience with BIM coordination workflows, model review, clash detection or multidisciplinary coordination;
• familiarity with platforms such as BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud ;
• good understanding of Italian building regulations and permitting processes;
• experience or strong understanding of coordination with MEP and structural teams ;
• ability to work on complex projects and manage technical documentation with a good level of autonomy;
• good written and spoken English and Italian ;
• ability to work in international, technical and multidisciplinary environments.

Knowledge of Dynamo, Grasshopper or computational design tools will be considered valuable, especially in highly structured BIM environments.

What we are looking for

We are looking for technically oriented architects and architectural technologists who are comfortable working on real project delivery, not only on early-stage concept or design development.

The ideal candidate has experience in technical documentation, executive drawings, Revit-based delivery, coordination with other disciplines and complex building projects .

For junior profiles, previous hands-on experience on real projects and a good level of autonomy will be considered important.

For senior profiles, the company is looking for professionals who can remain technically involved in project delivery while coordinating complex multidisciplinary packages.

Salary

Starting from approximately €35,000 gross annual salary for junior profiles.

Senior profiles will be evaluated according to experience, technical skills and level of autonomy.
