Role Description:

We are looking for Architectural Project Managers with experience in retail design, and with a keen eye for details to join our team in Rome.


As an Architectural Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating design and interior projects within the field of retail design, reaching from display tools, show windows and pop-up shops, to flagship stores and temporary architectural installations.


You should possess excellent decision-making skills and develop creative solutions for projects that tend to change constantly. You should be used to a fast pace and be able to work with very tight deadlines, completing projects in timely manner and within given budgets.


A keen eye for details is a must, to guarantee consistency to design intents and an overall customer satisfaction. Clients, team members and external counterparts rely on you.

Tasks:

- definition of design objectives, timings and budgets of multiple projects simultaneously;

- coordination and control of design phases and all involved parties;

- management of third-party vendors and consultants (arrange meetings, quotations, invoicing);

- management of tenders, review of contracts and negotiation with contractors;

- coordination between contractors, review and approval of construction drawings;

- drafting of reports following project / construction site meetings;

- drafting of reports to monitor progress of projects / construction sites;

- timing and cost control from design phase to construction;

- off-site and on-site production and construction management.


Technical requirements:

- degree in design / architecture / engineering;

- ability to sketch layouts and details by hand;

- previous experience in project management or in a similar role (min. 5 years);

- professional use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and other project management software;

- good knowledge of AutoCAD (2D design, layout setting);

- competence in (interior) architecture design and executive phases;

- basic knowledge of specialised technical disciplines (MEP, etc.);

- professional knowledge of the English language, spoken and written.


Personal skills:

- experience in managing high profile clients, external collaborators and contractors;

- proactive and result-oriented approach;

- good logical and analytical skills;

- ability to plan and manage own activities autonomously;

- ability to manage a multidisciplinary team;

- hands-on approach;

- availability and flexibility to travel abroad.
