Carlo Ratti Associati (CRA) is an international architecture and design studio with offices in Turin and New York. Founded by MIT professor Carlo Ratti, CRA sits at the intersection of design, technology, and urban innovation, developing projects that range from buildings and public spaces to large-scale urban strategies. Our work is driven by a belief that design can be a tool for understanding and shaping the future of cities.

The Role
CRA is looking for an Architect with a strong affinity for new technologies and the curiosity to explore how they can shape the architecture of tomorrow.
You will work on a variety of projects within a multidisciplinary and international design team, supported and mentored by experienced architectural professionals. This is an opportunity to grow in a studio where experimentation and innovation are part of everyday practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to architectural projects across different phases, from concept design to technical development.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams on a diverse range of project typologies.
- Produce high-quality drawings, visualizations, and design documentation.
- Engage with new technologies and digital tools to support design exploration and delivery.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or other relevant fields.
- 1–2 years of experience in an architecture or design office is preferred; a previous internship in an architecture firm is an advantage but not mandatory.
Skills
- Strong conceptual, graphic, and design skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
- Ability to work confidently in a complex and international environment.
- Familiarity with CRA's work and vision is considered a plus.
Software
- Nice to have: Grasshopper, coding skills, rendering software (e.g. V-Ray).
