**THIS POSITION IS TO WORK ONBOARD
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Upholds Royal Caribbean International’s ROYAL WAY standards by maintaining professional, courteous conduct in all guest and crew interactions both on and off duty.
- Assists Guest Accounts with SPMS–POS balancing, gratuity posting, prepaid amenity reconciliation, payment collection, credit card authorization/settlement, and other guest‑related financial tasks when assigned.
- Supports Payroll operations by assisting with crew cash payments, inquiries, payroll envelope preparation and distribution, gratuity and supplemental data processing, foreign exchange transactions, and other crew‑related financial matters.
- Ensures strict confidentiality of all guest and crew financial information while applying sound business ethics and judgment.
- Actively participates in training programs for Guest Accounts/Payroll, completing assigned checklists and progressively taking on tasks independently once trained.
- Maintains compliance with shipboard operational standards, safety procedures, and legal requirements; attends required drills and performs additional duties as assigned by the Financial Controller or management.
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school, basic education, or vocational training; with at least 6 months of experience in payroll, accounting processing, or cash‑handling roles within hospitality or financial institutions preferred.
- Strong administrative, analytical, and accounting/bookkeeping aptitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proven ability to manage and maintain confidential documentation with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, demonstrating tact, active listening, and the ability to interact effectively with guests, crew, management, and shoreside teams.
- Demonstrated potential for growth into supervisory or leadership roles, supported by competence in operating standard office equipment and common software applications.
- Proficiency with computers, including Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and intermediate‑level Excel skills (Financial, Math, and Lookup functions).
Language Requirements:
- Able to speak English clearly, politely, and professionally with guests and crew.
- Able to read and write English to understand instructions, convey information, and respond effectively to questions in both written and verbal form.
