Android Developer Senior

Overview

Spindox is hiring a senior Android developer to design and build mobile applications in a high‑tech interdisciplinary environment. The role is based in Osmannoro (FI) with a hybrid remote option and requires a 2‑day monthly on‑site presence at the client site.

Responsibilities

• Develop Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Apply modern architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and MVI.
• Create and integrate APIs with Retrofit, OkHttp, REST, and GraphQL.
• Implement user interfaces with Jetpack libraries, including ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Room, DataStore, and Compose.
• Manage background work with WorkManager.
• Write unit tests (JUnit, Mockito) and UI tests (Espresso).
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins).
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams and high‑tech partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in science, engineering, or an equivalent background.
• Minimum 4 years of structured Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with Jetpack libraries, dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger), Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Room, SQLite, and DataStore.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control (Git).
• Excellent teamwork, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.
