Analog IC Design Engineer

2D Photonics · Brescia, Italia ·

Descrizione dell'offerta

At 2D Photonics and CamGraPhIC we develop ultra-high bandwidth, low latency optical interconnects for generative AI, cellular, and high bandwidth data transfer applications.

Our Graphene Integrated Photonics (GIP) ofers superior capabilities for next-generation optical transceivers. The way we incorporate graphene with silicon photonics preserves its unique electrooptical properties and enables a next generation of optical interconnect devices with reduced electronic

complexity, improved energy consumption, and higher channel density.

At CamGraPhIC in Pisa, Italy we run the 700 sqm Inphotec Graphene Photonics development facility, where our team of industry-leading scientists, process development and photonics engineers are pioneering the design and fabrication of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) incorporating Graphene.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an Analog IC Design Engineer to join a fast-growing team working on the design and

development of cutting-edge silicon transceiver solutions for ultra-high bandwidth, low-latency optical

interconnects targeting generative AI, cellular, and high-bandwidth data transfer applications. You will

have a proven track record in designing high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits in advanced CMOS

FinFET technologies.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborating with photonics, silicon and system engineering teams to develop and optimise

proprietary SerDes architectures, including the development of key design specifcations

• Designing and developing key SerDes silicon IP such as high bandwidth receive and transmit

amplifers, Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs), Delay-Locked Loops (DLLs), Equalizers (CTLE, DFE,

FFE), Clock Recovery Circuits and Samplers

• Designing and developing general purpose analog building blocks (bias generators,

regulators, ADCs and DACs)

• Defning and executing design verifcation plans to ensure designs meet specifcations and

performance requirements

• Supporting the silicon bring-up, validation and characterisation from concept through to

productization

What we need to see?

• Bachelor or Master’s in relevant Engineering discipline with 8+ years industry experience

• A proven track record in designing analog and mixed-signal circuits for SerDes applications

at 7nm or below, and operating at data rates of 32Gbps or above

• Expert user of cutting-edge EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre/HSpice,

Calibre/PVS DRC/LVS

• A strong theoretical knowledge of analog circuit design principles

• Expert high-speed circuit designer, with experience of signal integrity and power integrity

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven, detail-oriented approach

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

• Experience working, communicating, and collaborating in a cross-functional team

• An ability to adapt to a fast-moving start-up environment, striving for innovation and

excellence in everything you do
