Requirements

  • Professional experience of at least 3 years in the domain of AIT.
  • Confidence with Space Business documentation, such as Satellite/Payload/Equipment User Manual’s, Architecture, Design and Test Requirements, Procedures, Assembly Drawings and similar.
  • Understanding of issues, identification of root causes, definition of solutions.
  • Good interpersonal skills both internally with colleagues and externally with the customer.
  • Good reporting capabilities and easy communication to the Management.
  • Availability to execute work also in long term missions, as per the Environmental or Launch Campaign.
  • Available to work in multiple shifts or at weekends and bank holidays, when necessary for the achievement of Project milestones.
  • Knowledge of the quality principles which apply to the Space Business, inside and outside a Clean Room.
  • Use of the MS Office tools, including MS Project. Use of CAD Viewers software.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Integration & Test activities of medium-sized telescopes, including opto-mechanical subsystems, both in-house and on-site.
  • Conduct optical alignment and calibration, working closely with optical and system engineers to ensure high-precision setup.
  • Prepare AIT documentation, including test procedures, integration workflows, reports and as-run procedures.
  • Handle critical assemblies, including optical mounts, structural elements, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
  • Participate in night observation campaigns and system verification tests under real sky conditions.
  • Support technical reviews and meetings, contributing to design improvement feedback based on hands‑on test results.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams for the setup and support of site installation missions globally.
