Air Cooler Design Engineer (Lead Engineer, Mechanical, Product Design and Engineering)
Join our team as an Air Cooler Design Engineer responsible for the design of an air cooler heat exchanger from both thermodynamic and mechanical perspectives, according to project requirements and international standards. Responsibilities
Understand the state of the art and collaborate with the team to identify improvement areas of the product. Design the component from thermal and mechanical viewpoints using international software and prepare the necessary documentation for requisition according to project specifications, international codes, and third‑party requirements. Understand project requirements for duty, footprint, plant interface, and manufacturability. Manage workload to ensure deliverables meet timeliness and quality expectations. Develop the product, identify new solutions and technologies to enhance performance and reduce emissions. Design test benches and define procedures to validate assumptions and new technologies. Collect, analyze, and present test results to management. Implement results in the design tool and update the design standard. Qualifications
Degree in Energy/Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of HTRI or equivalent thermal design software. Experience with FEM tools such as Ansys or Fluent. Knowledge of acoustic concepts (sound power levels, sound pressure levels, propagation, and reflection) and material characteristics in terms of noise absorption. Proficiency with 3D CAD systems such as NX or similar, and ability to interface/exchange models with calculation software. Cross‑functional team‑working skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent executive requests in a timely manner. Fluency in Italian and English. Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
