AFC Manager | North Africa

We are looking for a Country AFC Manager willing to work on-site in North Africa. This role is key in ensuring the effective management of all financial, accounting, administrative, and fiscal activities of the local branch, in full compliance with local regulations and alignment with Head Office guidelines.
The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to local operations and corporate functions, supporting business performance through financial control, reporting, and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise local accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws and corporate policies
- Oversee financial operations, including cash flow, banking relationships, payments, and collections
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial reports for Head Office
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and manage all fiscal obligations (VAT, income tax, etc.)
- Monitor project financial performance, including cost control and variance analysis
- Support operations in budgeting, contract, and subcontract financial management
- Supervise payroll processes for local and expatriate employees
- Manage administrative activities such as supplier contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements
- Coordinate insurance matters and handle claims in collaboration with Head Office
- Provide regular updates on financial, economic, and regulatory changes in the Country
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment
- Solid knowledge of accounting, finance, tax, and administrative processes
- Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management
- Strong understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE or similar is a plus)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Education: Studies in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Fluency in French is required; good command of English is preferred
