Job Summary

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer NPDI – Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy

Advanced Manufacturing Engineer NPDI contributes to Thermal Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and regional Manufacturing Engineering activities of Vertiv group and its related responsibilities. Ensure all activities related to the New Product Introduction are within the requested scope of work and given timeline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Manufacturing Readiness – New Products introduction
• Execute projects to provide all technical capabilities to TM manufacturing sites so that they can execute NPI, productivity/efficiency improvement programs, and other strategic projects for the BUs
• Major contributor to defining the right processes for TM product assembly and testing
• Specify new (Smart) technologies, jigs, and fixtures to achieve efficient manufacturing
• Contribute to DFM analyses and coordination within NPDI teams
• Support the implementation of Operations Excellence projects across BUs in the TM productions
• Work on specific tasks assigned by the TM Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager
• Responsible for the successful Manufacturing/Engineering Prototype build, including the EoL test
• R&D cooperation and support
• Act as the main contributor to the Manufacturing processes
• Contribute to automation, RTG/STD hours, and assembly line optimization improvements
• Cooperate with VOS and other departments on production improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing / Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
• Proven experience with industrialization of complex HVAC, chiller, or thermal systems
• Hands‑on knowledge of complex unit assembly (pumps, heat exchangers, piping, electrical)
• Experience with leak testing, functional testing, and EoL testing
• Experience with NPDI and product transfers into production
• Knowledge of ERP, PLM, and MES systems
• Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Creo, Solid Edge)
• Strong understanding of BOM alignment, routings, cycle times, and layouts
• Experience with PFMEA, DFM, work instructions, and control plans
• Shopfloor‑oriented mindset with production ramp‑up and stabilization experience
• English proficiency
