Offer Description

The research programme aims to develop micro- and nanostructured surfaces for anti-counterfeiting applications, directly integrated into polymer components manufactured by injection moulding. Activities will focus on the design, prototyping and characterization of optical textures based on diffractive structures, LIPSS and Diffractive Optical Elements, able to generate visual and/or instrument-readable signatures. The work will investigate mould insert manufacturability, nanostructure replication by micro-injection moulding, the effect of process parameters and the optical functionality of the produced samples. The programme will support the definition of guidelines for the industrial integration of low-cost anti-counterfeiting solutions in thermoplastic components.
