The Key Account Manager is responsible for business development for specific Key Customers based in the Adriatic Region. The person is responsible for achieving sales results, managing specific projects, and engaging with C-suite executives of strategic accounts. The key account manager acts as the link between local sales and the Global Key Account Team.

MAIN TASKS

  1. Achieving sales results and analyzing them regularly to implement related actions.
  2. Creating and managing a network within key accounts.
  3. Sharing information at the EMEA / WW level by collaborating with Global Key Account managers.
  4. Discovering customer needs, environment, and key contacts.
  5. Establishing strong business and technical relationships with key accounts based on added value proposals.
  6. Managing quotations and tenders.
  7. Executing action plans and creating projects at the industry level to deliver high-value propositions.
  8. Supporting the Adriatic cluster in pharmaceutical opportunities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Education-Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales and in the industrial market (understanding of food processing or veterinary analysis).
  • Previous experience in key account management.
  • Competencies and qualifications: team working, proactivity, a strong network in pharma accounts, project management, and resource coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a clear understanding of technologies and industrial processes/challenges.
  • Technical background with experience in food industries or a complementary field.
  • Skills: excellent teamwork, curiosity, perseverance, results-oriented, enthusiasm, dynamic relationship-building, and a strong interest in sales.
  • Ability to follow strategic plans and work efficiently.
  • Salesforce CRM experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work >80% of the time in the field.
